Manchester United assistant boss Mike Phelan moved to end doubts over Wayne Rooney's fitness last night.
The England striker, 24, suffered an injury scare when he limped off with a groin problem against Stoke yesterday.
But Phelan said: "He should be okay. All the phone calls and all the worries we can dispel straight away.
"He should be fine. It is just a precaution and he will be looking forward to his World Cup."
