Man Utd No2 Phelan: Anderson gave us perfect response

Manchester United No2 Mike Phelan says Anderson's goal scoring performance at Tottenham was the response they wanted from the Brazilian.

Phelan said: “It’s important that players do that. It’s difficult at times to pick the right team because of the quality players we have.

"You’ve just got to be patient and when that moment comes you take it and I thought Anderson did exceptionally well.”

On their clash with Besiktas, Phelan added: “We’re in good shape. We’ve got no issues, we’re all here together, we are going to fly out a little earlier than what we normally do."

One swallow does not make a summer and one good performance does not make a star.
However, Anderson is young and with a latin temperament, so we have to be patient.
