Manchester United are reported to be closing in on the signature of Thiago Alcantara.
It is believed that the 22-year old Barcelona midfielder will make a £17mllion move to Old Trafford early next week.
Talks between United officials and Alcantara's representatives are expected to continue over the weekend with a transfer likely to be completed in the not too distant future.
