Man Utd move in stars for Sunderland winger Henderson

It could be in the stars that Sunderland winger Jordan Henderson is destined to sign for Manchester United.

The Daily Mail says if there is to be a transfer, Sir Alex Ferguson may have destiny on his side.

Henderson joined Sunderland at the age of seven but there has been a United undercurrent to his life ever since he was three years old and bumped into Ryan Giggs on a beach in Majorca.

"I was really young and only remember it vaguely," said Henderson.

"It's a big thing when you're young. My Mum's got this picture somewhere of me sat on his shoulders. Ryan Giggs and David Beckham were the two players I've always looked up to."

Roy Keane gave Henderson his Sunderland debut before Bruce took over and made him a first-team regular.

Ferguson has asked his former captain to keep him informed of developments and transfer speculation has kept pace with his rapid rise.

"The gaffer and all the lads have been brilliant," said Henderson.

"The main thing is I'm just loving my football."
