Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is being linked with a surprise move for Leicester City winger Ricky Sappleton.
The 18 year-old Jamaican had trials with several Premiership clubs last season, including Liverpool and Middlesbrough, before winning a deal with the Foxes.
The News of the World says Ferguson is in talks with Leicester about a deal for Sappleton, having already failed with a £500,000 offer.
