Nicolas Gaitan could still be on his way to Manchester United this summer.

The Benfica star has long been linked with the Red Devils and according to his agent, may be calling Old Trafford home sooner than later if the English club come to the fore.

"Anything is possible as the negotiations are pending," Gaitan's agent Jose Irribarren told Portuguese radio station Antena 1.

"We are waiting for the Manchester United hierarchy to respond and other than that I cannot do anything more."

27-year old Argentine winger Gaitan, who is under contract with Benfica until 2018, has a release clause of £25million.
