Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to close a deal for Wigan Athletic winger Antonio Valencia.
The Daily Star says Sir Alex's first task today will be to finalise the £16m deal which will bring Wigan's Valencia to Old Trafford.
Wigan chairman Dave Whelan is now ready to rubber-stamp the Valencia deal, with a source revealing: "It now seems to be a done deal."
