Manchester United are reportedly closing in on the signature of Bayern Munich's Toni Kroos.
The Express is of the belief that the 24-year old German attacking midfielder is ready to agree terms with United following the appointment of Louis van Gaal on Monday.
Kroos spent time under van Gaal at Bayern during the Dutchman's two-year stint in Bavaria and is believed to be keen on reuniting.
The former Bayer Leverkusen loanee comes out of contract next summer but Bayern are hoping to avoid losing him on a free transfer so are preparing to offload him in the next transfer window.
