Sporting Lisbon coach Leonardo Jardim has played down his influence on William Carvalho's success this season.
Newly capped by Portugal, the midfielder is a big money target for Manchester United and AS Monaco.
Jardim brands interested clubs as "sharks" and added: "If it turns out he is appreciated, it's because the principal is himself, because he took the opportunity given to him and showed his skills.
"The coach just steered."
