Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is expected to make Sunday's EFL Cup final against Southampton.

The Spaniard was missing as the rest of his team-mates boarded a train heading to London.

It caused alarm among many fans who feared he would not be fit for tomorrow's final at Wembley.

However, he is back in England and at the team hotel, reports the Daily Star.

Mata was given permission to fly back to Spain after his grandfather's death. He left England on Thursday to attend the funeral but has returned tonight.

His availability is a big boost for Jose Mourinho who will be without Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
