Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson admits manager Sir Alex Ferguson wants goals from him this season.
Gibson struck in last week's Carling Cup win at Scunthorpe United.
"The manager hasn't sat me down to talk to me specifically about what he wants from me this season but on a simplistic level he wants me to get forward and score goals," Gibson told ManUtd.com.
"Sometimes when I get the ball I laugh because I hear the crowd yelling goal. It's nice that fans think I can score from distance, though.
"When I get the ball in my own half and I hear someone yelling for me to shoot it's strange and I hope people don't think that's all I can do. But shooting is a big part of my game so I can understand why people yell it out."
