Man Utd midfielder Fletcher links up with Scotland squad

Darren Fletcher today flew out to Vaduz to link up with the Scotland squad ahead of tomorrow's Euro2012 qualifier against Liechtenstein.

The Manchester United midfielder's availability for the Group I encounter, as well as Tuesday's meeting with Spain, was in doubt after he was struck down with tonsillitis earlier in the week but it appears as though he has made enough of a recovery to join manager Craig Levein and the players.

"Darren will arrive today and I have not 100 per cent ruled him out of tomorrow," said Levein earlier today. "He feels better.

"He will do something on his own today.

"I have to wait to see him and assess him. If the medical team gives him the thumbs up he will play, if not he is 100 per cent certain to be involved on Tuesday (against Spain)."
