Scotland No2 Peter Houston has paid tribute to captain Darren Fletcher, the Manchester United midfielder.
Houston believes Fletcher, 26, will be regarded in the same way as Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish by Scotland fans.
He said: "He's 26 and young enough to get to three figures. Dalglish is the only one to break 100 for Scotland so what an honour it would be for Darren to be up there.
"He plays every week now for Manchester United, but he's always up for Scotland duty.
"Darren is a credit to himself and his family.
"There is no bigger club than Manchester United, but even as a Scotland fan I always felt it was great to see him coming along for the national team.
"Very few times has he called off with an injury. He always wants to play and never likes to miss even a friendly. He has a superb attitude.
"Darren has been brought up by a legend in Sir Alex Ferguson and his manager at United wants a strong Scotland so he is pleased when Darren plays for us.
"I have so much admiration for Fletcher as a person, too. He is brilliant off the park."
