Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher says their Champions League elimination was his worst moment in football.

Fletcher, 26, insists the Champions League exit was even worse than missing last year's final after being sent off in the semi-final at Arsenal.

"It's worse because we aren't in the final," he said. "Although I suffered my disappointment last year, the whole team is disappointed now.

"A scrappy goal, a red card and a wonder goal by Arjen Robben and we're out."
