Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley was delighted with his performance in Team GB's Olympics win over UAE.
Cleverley wants to use the Olympics as a springboard to nail down a place in Manchester United's team.
"I know I was a bit short of match fitness last season, so to play competitive games on a massive stage like the Olympics and at massive grounds is perfect for me.
"I think that's how the manager is looking at these next few weeks as well.
"My aim next season isn't just to stay fit. I'm not injury-prone, it's just that I have had some bad luck.
"I want to get into the United team, win as much silverware as I can for my club, and if I am called up for my country..."
