Man Utd midfielder Cleverley learning to handle big-match atmosphere

Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley says he's getting used to the pressure of big matches.

Tomorrow evening, in front of 12,000 supporters at the City Stadium in Podgorica, he hopes to win his ninth England cap in this vital World Cup qualifier against Montenegro.

Cleverley, 23, said: "It's been a big few weeks for me because I've played matches against Brazil, Real Madrid and Chelsea.

"These are the games I want to play in. Unfortunately it wasn't so good against Real Madrid and Chelsea in the FA Cup, but they were good experiences.

"In my early games I would get nervous and it was the same with United because I just wanted to impress, but now it's excitement more than anything. I've played in some big games like Galatasaray away and you can't get a much better atmosphere than that.

"I'm getting experience of these games away from home in hostile places. I've had a good run in the senior side and the manager has shown a lot of faith in me."
