Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley admits he'd like to start scoring.

By netting league goals for Leicester City and Wigan Athletic and averaging one strike for every three games at Watford, all during loan spells away from Old Trafford, it's clear that the potential is there for Cleverley to provide a real threat from deep.

"I've got a lot to learn," Cleverley told MUTV. "I'm still working a lot with Rene [Meulensteen] and Mike [Phelan] on the training ground.

"There are aspects of my game I want to improve. I want to start getting on the scoresheet. Even though I was playing well [at the start of the season], I feel like there's more [to come].

"I like getting in the box and coming late on the edge of the box and that's just the one thing that I feel is missing."
