Man Utd midfielder Carrick refuses to accept World Cup spot guaranteed

Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick doesn't accept his World Cup place is guaranteed.

Fabio Capello has proved he picks the men in form and right now, Carrick is a man bang in form with a team striving to be English and European champions once more.

Carrick, 28, said: "Hopefully, I will be hitting form at the right time and stake a claim.

"I have got to be striving to have a good end to the season."
