Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick says there won't be a special plan to combat Robin van Persie for today's clash at Arsenal.
Carrick, who has been playing exceptionally well himself, is aware of the threat that both the Dutchman and returning hero Thierry Henry will pose at the Emirates Stadium but feels Sir Alex will not alter his tactics for the occasion.
"There are no special plans when we approach a game like this," Carrick told manutd.com.
"We assess the strength of the other team and how they accommodate different players but we don't change our game because of it. We appreciate Robin van Persie and respect how good he's been over the last 12 months. We'll be looking out for him but there's other threats as well so, in general, we have to play well."
