Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick is desperate to be an England first-choice for next year's World Cup.
Carrick was an unused squad player in South Africa 2010 and declined the chance to be a 'bit-part player' in the European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.
He said: "A World Cup in Brazil has a nice flavour about it. It has a nice ring to it. Obviously Brazil over the years have been at the top of world football - the way they play, the way they live their lives in many ways. It is a bit of a celebration.
"So I am sure there will be a great atmosphere.
"Obviously it is the pinnacle to go there, but there is a lot of football to be played and the competition in midfield is tough enough. I think it is the strongest midfield I have known. With the depth of it.
"To get there is pleasing. Now we have to focus on what we can achieve once we are there. That will give us a good chance of doing well."
