Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick was delighted with England's World Cup qualifying win over Poland.

England saw off Poland 2-0 to book a spot in Brazil.

Carrick said: "It's a good feeling, it's what we set off to do and what we expected to achieve.

"I've played in a lot of big games where there's a lot at stake. I've played in finals and league deciders.

"I've played a lot of games but the country expected tonight. There was more people to please tonight and we've done that."
