Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is set to announce his international retirement.
Germany's skipper admitted he is not sure if he will pull on his country's jersey again.
Schweinsteiger, 31, said: “I have not thought about it. I put all my energy into the tournament. After two injuries that was not so easy.
“In the first half I had a difficult time with injuries. I was glad to be here at all. We will see."
Schweinsteiger is Germany's fourth most capped player of all time on 120 – behind Lothar Matthaus (150) Miroslav Klose (137 and Lukas Podolski (129).
But he has struggled with injuries and looked off the pace last season after being brought to United by Louis van Gaal.
