Manchester United have announced a pre-season friendly with Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua.
The Red Devils will head to Shanghai in July to meet Sergo Batista and Nicolas Anelka's side on the 25th which at this stage is a tentative date, marking their first trip back to China since 2009.
"We were overwhelmed by the passion and excitement generated by the fans who came out to support us and we hope many more join us again this year.""We had a fantastic amount of support from our fans last time we played a pre-season game in China," said United chief executive David Gill.
