Man Utd mate Rooney sold me on move – Everton new boy Gibson
Darron Gibson has revealed that Wayne Rooney pushed him in the right direction prior to his shift to Everton.
The 24-year old midfielder today made the switch from Manchester United to Everton and admits that ex-Toffee Rooney helped him make his decision.
“He told me he really enjoyed his time here. He really enjoyed the people here and the players were great as well.
“I think having a word with him and having a word with people like Tim Cahill and Phil Neville just convinced me the decision was right to come.”“Wayne just told me it was a great club,” Gibson told Evertontv.
