Man Utd management insist Mkhitaryan still has big future

Manchester United management insists Henrikh Mkhitaryan has a future at Old Trafford.

The Daily Mail says United have moved swiftly to reject any speculation the former Shakhtar Donetsk player could be offloaded in the January transfer window.

Club insiders also deny any suggestion that he was signed to guarantee Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, two other clients of super-agent Mino Raiola, ended up at Old Trafford.

The feeling at United is that Mkhitaryan is one of those players who needs to be 100 per cent right, both physically and mentally, to perform. The club are aware that he also had a relatively slow start at Dortmund in 2013.

It's understood they want to make sure Mkhitaryan is completely ready rather than risk another bad performance that could seriously damage his confidence.
