Udinese president Franco Soldati has confirmed that in-demand winger Alexis Sanchez has agreed personal terms with Barcelona. The 22-year old Chilean international was a strong transfer target for the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City but it now seems he will land at the Nou Camp with the European champions.
"From what we were told by the player's agent Fernando Felicevich, Alexis Sanchez has an agreement with Barcelona for a contract worth 3m a season. This does not necessarily mean he will go, but it is what the player wants," Soldati said, according to Chilean source La Tercera.
"We hope to fulfil the player's wish, but I don't think negotiations will be finalised until at least the end of June.
"These are two different things. We will begin talks with Barcelona and we will not stop them from speaking with the player. But we are just starting with the talks.
"If they pay us what we want then there will be no problems, but we are yet to speak about this. For the moment Barcelona are favourites to land Sanchez ahead of Juventus and Inter. These are the three clubs that are close to him, but nothing has been sealed yet in regards to a move.
"Again, this is just the start of things, but we want to finish negotiations by the end of the month. The player's opinion obviously counts, but there are other things we need to look at.
"In any case we are optimistic all will end well."
