Arsenal are expected to get a clear run at Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil today. The Telegraph says both Manchester United and Manchester City were offered the chance to sign Ozil from Real Madrid over a month ago.
United and City turned down the chance to sign the Germany midfielder, so Arsenal are likely to have a clear run to sign him today, despite reports in Spain suggesting United have made a late move.
Arsenal and Real Madrid have agreed a fee (£40m) for Ozil, but personal terms are still to be struck.
