Man Utd, Man City alerted to unsettled Fabiano

Manchester United and Manchester City are keeping tabs on Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano's situation.

Manchester United and Manchester City are keeping tabs on Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano's situation.

The Daily Mail says Fabiano has not ruled out a future move away from Sevilla, alerting Premier League rivals Manchester City and United.

Both clubs were linked with a £20million swoop for the 28-year-old during this summer's transfer window but Fabiano would prefer a move to Italy despite being let down by AC Milan, according to his agent.

Reports in Italy claim Juventus are keen to lure Fabiano to Turin next June as a replacement for French striker David Trezeguet, who recently announced he will leave the Bianconeri next summer.

"The market closed last week and it seems absurd to talk about transfers now," said Fabiano's agent Jose Fuentes. "However, if there is an interest from an Italian club then we will sit down and listen.

"We have not had any direct contact with Juventus so far, but it is an honour that such an important club is interested in Luis."
