Man Utd, Man City alerted as Chelsea consider cashing in on Cole

Chelsea may seek to cash in on Ashley Cole in January.

The Daily Mail says PSG will attempt to see off competition from both Manchester City and Manchester United plus Real Madrid by offering Ashley Cole a £150,000-a-week three-year deal.

The super-rich French club hope to tempt the 31-year-old with the England defender is ready to walk out at the end of the season after failing to agree terms on a new contract.

Chelsea could offload Cole when the transfer window re-opens in January if his understudy Ryan Bertrand, called up to the England squad for this week's World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland, continues his remarkable rise.

PSG have a strong English connection on the backroom staff, where Carlo Ancelotti has recruited former Stamford Bridge employees Paul Clement, Claude Makelele and Nick Broad.
