Manchester United chiefs are convinced Cesc Fabregas is prepared to leave Barcelona for Old Trafford.

The Manchester Evening News says chief executive Ed Woodward has dealt with negotiations and he's set to give the green light on a bid that would exceed the £30.8m they paid for Dimitar Berbatov.

Fabregas has remained tight-lipped on the prospect of leaving.

However, Old Trafford chiefs have got wind of the fact that he wants to move to Old Trafford.

Interestingly, Fabregas did not travel with the Barcelona squad for their friendly against Lechia Gdansk last night.
