Manchester United are keeping in touch with Wolfsburg for Julian Draxler.

The People says Draxler has emerged as a £38million Manchester United target - if they fail to land first-choice target Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Germany international Draxler only joined Wolfsburg from fellow Bundesliga side Schalke last summer – but Jose Mourinho has told Ed Woodward he's a player he'd like at Old Trafford should they be unable to get a deal done for Mkhitaryan.

Having sold fellow midfielder Ilkay Gundogan to Manchester City in a £20million deal recently, German giants Dortmund aren't keen to lose any more of their top names in this window.

But Mkhitaryan – who scored 11 goals in 31 League games and was named Bundesliga Players' player of the season with fifteen assists - wants out.
