Manchester United are continuing contact with Santos whizkid Douglas Costa.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was willing to sign Costa in the summer, but only after seeing him close-up in trials. Santos refused the condition and Costa was forced to stay with his Brazilian club.
One of player's minders confirmed to sport.co.uk today: "I cannot say much. Nothing has changed. It is early stages. Talks are ongoing."
