The Mirror reports that new United boss David Moyes is keen to lure the Uruguayan hitman from Napoli as doubts over Wayne Rooney's Old Trafford future remain.
26-year old Cavani has been the subject of interest from both Manchester City and Chelsea but it appears as though the Premier League champions are set to flex their muscle.
