Manchester United are locked in talks with Juventus over a fee for Arturo Vidal. The Daily Express says Italian sources suggest Antonio Conte's side have told the Red Devils they won't accept anything less than £40m for their star man.
Vidal is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world, and new boss Louis Van Gaal is determined to partner him with £29million signing Ander Herrera as United look to compete for the Premier League title.
Arsenal are also keen on signing Vidal as they look to beat Liverpool to his compatriot Alexis Sanchez, and Arsene Wenger is prepared to match any offer made by the United hierarchy.
Real Madrid too are keeping tabs on Vidal, but could drop out of the race after agreeing a deal for Bayern Munich and Germany star Toni Kroos.
