Tom Cleverley will shortly have a meeting with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and there he will express his willingness to remain on loan with Wigan. The England Under-21 international agreed a season-long deal with the Latics and the chance of regular first team football is enough to convince him to stay.
He told the Wigan Evening Post: "I've not heard anything yet but I think the manager (Ferguson) want to see me at the end of the month.
"All I can do is play when I'm asked to play and train when I'm asked to train, and let the rest take care of itself.
"If I do end up staying at Wigan, though, I'd be more than happy to do that.
"I've just found my goalscoring boots and I'm feeling very confident in front of goal at the moment.
"I'm just looking to play as many games as possible, hopefully try and chip in with a few goals and help Wigan to win as many games as we can."
