Man Utd legends Neville, Giggs hit financially over hotel delays

Manchester United legends Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs have been hit by a financial shortfall over their new hotel project.

The Daily Star Sunday says they are a net-busting £2million out of pocket on their hotel venture before a guest has even checked in.

The 133-bed, ten-storey development, where rooms will cost £160 per night, boasts a five-a-side football pitch on the roof and would be able to host 1,500 fans on match days.

Former defender Gary, 39, who is now a TV pundit, and wing wizard Giggsy, 40, United's assistant manager, plan to create up to 200 jobs at the hotel.

But the pair have agreed to delay the opening by four months.

The extra time will allow for improvements to the banqueting and conference facilities and for an extension to the football pitch.

The delayed opening will cost them and their consortium an estimated £2million.
