Man Utd legend Yorke impressed by Hernandez - for now

Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke is impressed by what he has seen of Javier Hernandez.

In a column for the Daily Mail, Yorke wrote: "At the moment you feel that every time Javier Hernandez pulls his Manchester United shirt on he is going to score. He is a goal machine.

"I had the pleasure of seeing him play for Mexico in 2009 in my role with Trinidad and Tobago in the World Cup qualifiers and you could tell straight away that he was a player to watch out for.

"Everyone was talking about how he was the best player of his generation to come out of Mexico.

"It's a cliche but he is one of those players who knows where the goal is - my first impression is that he is just like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in that he will get you a goal when you need one.

"He has found his feet pretty quickly. His link-up play will develop in time, because that could be a little bit better, but he will be judged on his goals. Ole's link-up play was a lot better than people gave him credit for but, like Hernandez, if there was one person you wanted a chance to fall to, it would be him.

"Hernandez has that knack of scoring goals, of knowing where the ball is going to fall and he has shown twice in the past few days how cool he is when he gets a chance. The back-header for his first goal against Stoke and his dummy before finishing against Wolves on Wednesday night are the kind of things you cannot teach."
