Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke believes Dimitar Berbatov has served the club well this season.

Yorke has been impressed by United's striker department this term.

He told the Manchester Evening News: "To a certain degree I think the strikers this season have come in and done a good job.

"Obviously when you have a player like Wayne Rooney scoring goals the way he has done you don't look to change too much but when he has needed a brief rest or has been injured I think the players have done a decent job.

"Some of the contributions from Dimitar Berbatov, for instance, have been excellent. The back heel to change the game against Tottenham last Saturday was fantastic.

"Even if you are not scoring if you can come up with something that changes the game in a moment then you have made a contribution. Dimitar has done that a few times."
