Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar believes Tottenham must be patient with Christian Eriksen. Van der Sar now works in the front office at Ajax and knows all about the Dane.
He told De Telegraaf: "Last week I was at the Arsenal v Tottenham game and it is a game played at a punishing pace up and down.
"Eriksen is a great footballer, but with the game's tremendous pace, he will have some problems in the beginning.
"Holland remains a springboard for players to get to the Premier League or other major leagues."
