Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a big fan of the pairing of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.

The Molde coach played with Rooney while at United.

"Wayne Rooney has been a key player since his sixteenth birthday ," said Solskjaer.

"His playing style has changed a bit, but he can do anything. He is a great pairing with Van Persie. For a club like Manchester United, it is important to have these superstars. Van Persie is one of them, but without the ego of a superstar.

"He always gives one hundred percent, playing every game and has exceptional qualities. For United this season he has already delivered many points."
