Man Utd legend Scholes mocks Lukaku for Svilar sympathy

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes enjoyed a swipe at Romelu Lukaku after their win at Benfica last night.

Marcus Rashford scored the only goal — but it came in bizarre circumstances.

Benfica keeper Mile Svilar, 18, who was making his debut, carried the England man's free-kick over the line in the second half.

United's players were gracious at full-time as they consoled the youngster following his howler.

Lukaku spent more time with his fellow countryman. The duo both started their careers at Anderlecht.

The Sun reports Scholes, on BT Sport, pointed out the was the nearest Lukaku had got to the goalkeeper all night.
