Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has regrets over his England career.
Scholes admits he never hit the heights of his club form with England.
He told the London Evening Standard: "Probably the disappointment was with England. I found myself lucky enough to play for England.
"You are always proud to play for England. When it came to major tournaments it was disappointing, that was something I wished could have been better. But, you have to look back and the trophies I did win you have to say I was very lucky."
