Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel has dismissed concerns over the lack of transfer activity from manager Sir Alex Ferguson this summer.
"I watched Saturday's game against Espanyol and the strength in depth they have is better than ever.
"There was no Rooney, Ronaldo, Hargreaves, Anderson or Gary Neville yet still it looked such a strong team - they played very well. I think it looks very good for United, no matter what the manager might be saying.
"The emphasis is how deep the strength is in the squad - it goes down to No.28 now and all credit to Sir Alex.
"So I am not worried about United, they can cope."
