Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel convinced Michael Laudrup about taking the Swansea City job.
The 48-year-old was convinced to make the jump after speaking with two of English football's greatest Danish imports - Schmeichel and Liverpool hero Jan Molby.
Laudrup said: "I didn't know much about Swansea and it's the first time I have taken a job without coming to the place first.
"I knew where Swansea was - it's not the other side of the world. But I had to do research and I spoke to people I trust.
"Peter and Jan spoke very positively about life in the Premier League, about Swansea and how their style and philosophy would suit me. That was important."
