Man Utd legend Robson happy seeing Park lead South Korea at World Cup

Manchester United legend Bryan Robson is delighted Ji-sung Park will captain South Korea at the World Cup.

Robson, himself, has led England at past World Cups and European Championships.

The Thailand coach told manutd.com: "It's a great honour and a proud moment to lead your country out at a World Cup. When you're a kid playing on the park pitches, you never even dream of being able to do what Ji will do this summer. I think he's the kind of captain who leads by example.

"A lot of the Koreans' game is based on workrate and team ethic, and he epitomises that. I never felt any more pressure captaining England. It's just a great honour and I'm sure Park will enjoy the role of being captain - he'll thrive on it rather than shirking away from it."
