Manchester United legend Gary Neville paid tribute to Ryan Giggs after his performance in victory over Liverpool.
Neville wrote in the Mail on Sunday: "United have Ryan Giggs, who played his 899th game for United on Saturday to round off the week he signed a new contract that will take him past his 39th birthday.
"In him we are witnessing, week in, week out, greatness the like of which we may not see for a long time, someone who is completely dedicated, doesn't know when he is beaten and fights to the last minute of every game.
"I was reading reports from 2004 asking: 'How will United replace Giggs and Keane?' He was 31 at the time.
"To play at that level for 22 years at such a standard is remarkable. Only the likes of Paolo Maldini can compare and that is high praise."
