Man Utd legend Neville tribute to Giggs after Liverpool triumph

Manchester United legend Gary Neville paid tribute to Ryan Giggs after his performance in victory over Liverpool.

Neville wrote in the Mail on Sunday: "United have Ryan Giggs, who played his 899th game for United on Saturday to round off the week he signed a new contract that will take him past his 39th birthday.

"In him we are witnessing, week in, week out, greatness the like of which we may not see for a long time, someone who is completely dedicated, doesn’t know when he is beaten and fights to the last minute of every game.

"I was reading reports from 2004 asking: ‘How will United replace Giggs and Keane?’ He was 31 at the time.

"To play at that level for 22 years at such a standard is remarkable. Only the likes of Paolo Maldini can compare and that is high praise."
