Manchester United leged Gary Neville hopes Burnley striker Danny Ings stays in England.
Ings will leave Burnley when his contract expires in June.
Neville said: "I saw a story that Burnley want him to stay in this country so they can get some compensation for him.
"And they probably deserve some compensation for him.
"I think they've been used to that [speculation] around here all season, he's been aware of the situation for a long time. It hasn't just crept up on them.
"It would be a real body blow to a club like this, who are obviously on a tight budget, for them to lose a player of that talent on a free transfer abroad."
