Manchester United legend Gary Neville says England look a shambles.
He explained in the Mail on Sunday: "When you look at the England team, you see a board who have gone against their manager, a now-deposed captain who will have lost faith in the people he plays for and a manager who cannot rely on the board to support his decisions.
"The decision to strip John Terry of the captaincy - taken on Friday by the FA board without consulting the manager, Fabio Capello - was typical of the FA: inconsistent, bowing to media pressure and half-hearted.
"When I look at how the Manchester United team I was part of for 18 years are run, it comes down to two men: David Gill, the chief executive, and Sir Alex Ferguson, the manager.
"When the pressure comes, these two men know how to react. There is a strict disciplinary code and if a problem arises, it's dealt with quickly.""It is about as far from Team England as I could imagine.
