Man Utd legend Keane: Tevez return hands Man City title advantage

Manchester United legend Roy Keane says Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini will be correct if he recalls Carlos Tevez.

Keane wrote in the Sun on Sunday: "He had made it clear he would not accept Tevez back unless he apologised and the player has said sorry.

"You don't really know how genuine that is until you see how he behaves himself around the club. But it means that Mancini was not the one who had to back down.

"What is more, if his other front players are on form, it means he doesn't have to be panicked into bringing Tevez back immediately.

"He can bring him in at his leisure and, in any case, it might take a few weeks for the frontman to get back up to speed.

"It remains to be seen how big a role he plays over the run-in. If, though, he scores one goal which helps City get over the finish-line then, of course, it will have been worth it."
