Manchester United legend Roy Keane has scoffed at Hull City boss Steve Bruce's claims that Curtis Davies should make England's World Cup squad.

Keane was quick to play down any chance Davies had of being included in Roy Hodgson's 23-man squad for the World Cup in Brazil.

"This talk of him going to the world cup is crazy," Keane commented. "I think Bruce has maybe had a quick beer after the game.

"He's not at that level, but he's a very good player."
